If you have any interest in buying a business, I cannot recommend enough following Ben on Twitter. I have at least 5 of his threads saved and regularly refer to them as I look at deals myself.  He drops straight knowledge on there and it is GREAT.

Here is Ben's Bio:

Ben Tiggelaar is the founder of Bardo Capital. Ben is a hands-on entrepreneur and investor. He is an adventure seeker and a constant learner.

In 2017, Ben acquired, led, and operated Enable Dental, a unique dental management empowering dental clinicians, such as dentists and hygienists, to provide at-home and in-community services for the geriatric population. He successfully scaled this company for over four years, transforming the acquired business of originally 15 employees to over 160 employees across 10+ metropolitan markets. This growth included raising millions in growth capital from both financial and strategic investors, and most importantly, unlocking care for tens of thousands of patient interactions who previously lacked access to basic dental care. He and his leadership team established Enable Dental as the largest at-home provider of dental services in the country.

Ben grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His Midwest upbringing gave him his entrepreneurial foundation while also teaching him to put others first.

Ben attended the University of Nebraska, and married his college sweetheart, Murphy Tiggelaar, in 2018. They live in Austin, Texas with their energetic English Cocker Spaniel, Lucy, and their cat, Dundee. Ben and Murphy are avid travelers having been to over 20 countries together so far with many more to come. He is also an active member of the Entrepreneur’s Organization Austin chapter.

Ben began his career at Tenaska Capital Management, $2.5B middle market energy investment firm. Looking to make a bigger impact on smaller companies ($15M to $100M of revenue), Ben joined CenterGate Capital, an investment firm based in Austin, Texas that raised $365 million to buy and grow companies in the lower middle market.

Ben is excited to work with business owners looking to transition to their next chapter.
